Project Type | Transitional Shelter, New Construction |
Project Location | Downtown Tucson, AZ |
Client | The Salvation Army Hospitality House |
Completion Date | February 2015 |
Project Size | 33,500 Square Feet |
This ground up construction project consisted of a two story, 33,500 square foot facility that provides a total of 122 beds to men, women, veterans and families in emergency and transitional status. For this notable addition to the Tucson community, our goal was to create a space that was as homelike as possible for clients that are regularly in a state of distress, while keeping the budget of a non-profit on track. The environment needed to lend itself to a residential feel, while prioritizing bleachable surfaces, bedbug resistance and solid constriction that would stand up to the rigors of a high-use environment.
